WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and certain cookies installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, the websites or search terms that brought you to the Site, and information about your interactions with the Site. We call this automatically collected data “Device Data”.
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
- “Cookies” are data files placed on your device or computer and often contain an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies and how to disable cookies, visit: http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
- “Log files” track Site operations and collect information including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, pages from which the Site sends you and where the Site directs you, and date and time stamps. - “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about your use of the Site.
When you make or attempt to make a purchase on the Site, we collect certain information from you including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and telephone number. We call this data "Order data".
When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we mean both Device Information and Order Information.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, preparing for shipment, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). We also use this Order Information to: communicate with you; check orders for potential risks or fraud; and send you information and advertisements about our products or services, according to the preferences you indicate.
We use the collected Device Information (in particular, your IP address) to monitor potential risk and fraud, and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers navigate the Site and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
TO WHOM WE PROVIDE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We provide your Personal Data to third parties who help us use your Personal Data as described above. For example, we use Shopify to manage our online store. On the page https://www.shopify.nl/juridisch/privacy you can read how Shopify handles your Personal Data. In addition, we use Google Analytics to understand how our customers use the Site. On the page https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=nl you will find more information about how Google uses your Personal Data. You can also unsubscribe from the use of Google Analytics on the page https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We may also disclose your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other legally valid request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING
As described above, we use your Personal Information to send you targeted advertisements or marketing messages that may be relevant to your interests. For more information about how targeted advertising works, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") information page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.
You can also opt out of some of these services via the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out pages: http://optout.aboutads.info/. DO NOT TRACK A "Do Not Track" signal from your browser does not change our approach to data collection and use.
YOUR RIGHTS
If you live in Europe, you have the right to access the Personal Data we hold about you and to request that your Personal Data be corrected, updated or deleted. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact details below. If you live in the EU, we also note that we process your personal data for the performance of agreements we have with you (for example if you order something via the website) or for the pursuit of our legitimate interests listed above. Please note that your Personal Data will be transferred to countries outside Europe, including Canada and the United States.
The data sharing settings in Facebook and Instagram by Meta lets you choose how customer data and browsing behavior is collected in your online store. Data sharing tools, such as the Meta pixel and the Facebook Conversions API, let you track orders and collect data from other events, which can help you analyze your store traffic and improve ad targeting through dynamic ads.
Data sharing is a choice. While customer data improves campaign performance and sales tracking, not everyone wants their data shared.
RETENTION TERMS
When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Order Information until you ask us to delete it.
This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally, for example because we change the way we work with data or for other operational reasons or because this is required by law or regulation.
